Hill's Pet Nutrition believes that every pet should get the best care possible. In 2024 alone, they donated over 3 million meals to shelter pets in need across South Africa. By giving these pets quality and balanced nutrition they are healthier and happier which increases their likelihood of adoption. To make it even easier for shelter pets to find their fur-ever families, we created the Pet Matchmaker app.
Shelters across South Africa can load their pets available for adoption and set up their profiles with the app's innovative matching system. Using a user-friendly interface, pet parents can browse or search for pets that are a perfect match for their lifestyles and homes. Our feasibility study uncovered many pain-points for both shelters and pet parents and with Hill's understanding of the needs of pets and pet parents along with their partnerships with shelters, the app was designed to remove many of those obstacles. To date, thousands of pets have found their fur-ever homes and families.
